GEA Projects in the News: 180 East 88th Street Nears Topping Out!

Construction update at 180 East 88th Street on the Upper East Side! As previously mentioned, GEA is providing LEED Consulting and Filing services to this towering skyscraper! The 523-foot tall structure has reached its 28th floor, with just three stories left before topping-out. Portions of the façade on the southern side are now visible and you can also see the two-story arches for the mid-building outdoor terrace. DDG has stated that their aesthetic inspiration was derivative of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi and the façade will be decorated with Kolumbia bricks and a notable gray masonry. The 182,530 sq. ft. residential building will be the tallest above 72nd St. and completion is expected in late 2019! See full story at NY Yimby.
